At Njord Survey, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to minimizing our environmental footprint while developing innovative solutions that save energy and reduce impact. Each year, we set ambitious environmental goals, and every member of our team actively works to achieve them.
Our commitment to environmental responsibility is evident in every part of our operations. We have electrified our vehicles, our office is only powered by renewable electricity, we are reducing travel through digital meetings, and minimizing waste while maximizing recycling. We invest in high-quality instruments with long service lives, reducing both waste and energy consumption. Additionally, by positioning our whole data processing team in Gothenburg, we significantly reduce travel to and from survey sites. By have all processing personnel at one location, not onboard the vessels, we can reduce CO2 emission of our vessels by up to 99% from our friends in the industry.
Annual environmental impact assessments guide our efforts, helping us identify new ways to lessen our footprint. Each project undergoes rigorous risk assessments, where environmental considerations are a top priority. Our compliance with environmental laws, ISO 14001 certification, and membership in EcoVadis reflect our dedication to continuous improvement in sustainability.
We are particularly focused on reducing our impact on the sea, where much of our work takes place. With a partnership with Stena Recycling to handle hazardous waste, we ensure responsible disposal both at sea and on land. On our vessels and in the office, we recycle as much as possible, with dedicated stations for cardboard, food waste, plastic, and more.
